Using of computer fishing trainer for studying the "Commercial fishery" course
The application problems of the complex trainer RPРў-2000 for the course "Commercial fishery" on the example of the theme "Trawl Calibration" practical training have been considered. Using the beforehand written script the cadets carry out the trawl calibration and plot some graphs. On the basis of the obtained graphs they find calibration dependences and carry out their analysis when defending the practical training.

Net fishing of cod in the Barents Sea coastal zone
In the paper the possibility of net fishing in the Barents Sea coastal zone has been considered on the basis of the experimental craft results. The possible methods of net designing and modes of net disposal necessary for the intense of catch are given.

Selectivity devices of fishing appliances
The paper considers the problems of application of the new technologies, in particular, selective devices in trawls and purge seines. The authors have proved that the flexible constructions are more effective and convenient than the rigid ones.

The development of the Barents Sea shelf and training of the specialists in this field
In the paper the problems of training of the specialists for development of the Barents Sea shelf, prospecting and working out of oil and gas fields have been considered. The authors have proved that it is necessary to introduce some new chapters in the educational programs according to the International Convention STCW-78/95 (Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping).
